TransFormative Justice Day of Conferences
The main objective of this day of conferences is to create conversations within the 2SLGBTQ+ communities on justice, violence, and care. It aims to create space for trans/feminist discourses and reflections, centering trans women and people affected by transmisogyny. In doing so, we wish to allow researchers and activists to discuss transmisogynistic violence and to build bridges with 2SLGBTQ+ collectives and activists who focus on the issues experienced within 2SLGBTQ+ communities. Finally, it aims to build bridges to larger abolition movement across Montreal/Tiohtia:ke and beyond.
Two panels :
1) Communities of Care: How can the 2SLGBTQ+ communities do conflict resolution and find justice in the world that surrounds them? How are we building a world, including people affected by trans-misogyny, to have justice?
2) Movements for abolition: How can grassroots collectives, people and organizations create movements for anti-prison, anti-police justice with and for our communities?
Workshops: 101 workshops for body autonomy, conflict resolution, de-escalation, how-tos, etc!
