About
Born in New York and raised in Añasco, Puerto Rico, Ivy Queen (she) emerged in the 1980s with The Noise, debuting her first song, Somos Raperos Pero No Delincuentes.
She launched her solo career in 1997 with En Mi Imperio, followed by The Original Rude Girl (1998) and the platinum-certified Diva (2003). Her success continued with Real (2004), Flashback (2005), Sentimiento (2007), and a world tour in 2008. She released Drama Queen (2010), Musa (2012), and Vendetta: The Project (2015), showcasing her versatility across genres.
Ivy Queen has received numerous accolades, including a Lifetime Achievement Award (2019), induction into the Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame, and multiple Latin Grammy nominations. In 2023, she returned to Puerto Rico for a sold-out show, reaffirming her status as the Queen of Reggaetón. Her latest releases, including Bye Bye, Perdío, and De Luto, continue her legacy of empowerment.
With over 30 years in the industry, Ivy Queen remains a trailblazer and advocate for women in music, honored with prestigious awards such as Billboard’s Woman Icon and Premio Lo Nuestro’s Legacy Award.
