Maguy Métellus
About
Maguy Métellus (she/her) is a Haitian-Quebecker, spoken word artist, Afrofeminist activist, passionate about poetry and the spoken word, and a much-in-demand host. She is also a teller and reader. In May 2015, she teamed up with writers H. Nigel Thomas and Horace I. Goddard (RIP) to create the Lectures Kola Readings (now Lectures LOGOS Readings), which she co-organizes and co-hosts. Since May 2022, she has been a member of the board of Fierté littéraire, where she has organized and hosted the “Diversité en toutes lettres” event since the same year.
