Rameez Karim
About
Rameez Karim, a Montréal-based choreographer, instructor, and performer, specializes in Bollywood and Indian classical dance. Trained by notable figures such as Saroj Khan and Pavan Thimmaiah, he also holds a contemporary dance degree from Concordia University. Rameez has collaborated with renowned artists like Priyanka Chopra and has appeared in various music videos and films, including "Ho Gayi Talli" from the Bollywood film Super Singh. His ensemble, Veils of Bollywood, launched in 2019, aims to promote Indian dance through performances and television appearances, notably on Révolution. Recognized for his contributions, Rameez received awards such as the James Saya Bursary and CUAA Fine Arts Prize. He continues to explore the intersection of movement and expression, sharing his experiences through art locally and internationally.
