Sam Cyr

A graduate of the École nationale de l’humour in 2018, Sam Cyr (he/him) is a Gaspésie-born comedian known for his dry wit, sarcastic tone, and endearing awkwardness. He’s performed at major festivals including Zoofest, ComediHa!, and Just For Laughs. In 2022, he released his debut novel Lamentable, a critically acclaimed bestseller inspired by the year leading up to his coming out. That same year, he won an Olivier Award for Tout le monde s’haït, a hit podcast co-hosted with fellow comedian Marylène Gendron. The pair were nominated again in 2024 and 2025. In 2024, they launched Séparés mais ensemble, a joint stand-up show featuring 45 minutes each, currently touring across Quebec. They also co-host Populaires, a podcast streamed on Radio-Canada’s Ohdio platform. In 2025, they hit the road with a live version of Tout le monde s’haït, playing to audiences across the province.
