Xénia

About

Xénia is a transdisciplinary poet originally from the lobster capital of the world, Shediac. Based in Montréal, she works as an interdisciplinary poet and performer always carrying her Acadian dialect, Chiac, as a beacon. Through her work, Xénia explores the transitory relationships that exist between her body, her desires, and the different perceptions of "home". Often expressed through archaic, luminous, and sexy performances, she is known to blur the line between comedy and poetry. Xénia released her first poetry collection "Des fleurs comme moi", published by Prise de Parole (2023), is currently working on her next book, and her first interdisciplinary performance.
