Alex Viens
About
Alex Viens is an author studying for a bachelor's degree in film at the Université de Montréal. In 2022, the publication of their first novel, Les pénitences, marked their breakthrough onto the literary scene. Their articles on gender identity, poverty and beauty from a feminist and queer perspective have been published in VÉRO magazine, Métro and ELLE Québec. Their issue on gender-affirming haircuts, published in ELLE Canada, won gold at the National Magazine Awards 2023.
