Archie Burnett (he/him) is a legendary and well-respected figure in the underground dance world.
40 years of dance in NYC's hottest underground clubs has made his style unique, strong, and confident. He has performed and taught his craft worldwide, sharing various dance styles including Waacking, Hustle, Voguing and House.
As a pioneer of black club culture, Archie has also done lectures and panels at Yale, Duke, Harvard, Princeton and New York Universities. He has been featured in several music videos and independent films, has been performing for choreographers like Doug Elkins, David Neumann, and Cori Colinghouse, and has been showing his own work in various institutions: Dance Theater Workshop, PS122, DanceSpace, DixonPlace, Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts and Théâtre Suresnes Jean Vilar.
