Geneviève Labelle is a feminist artist with a passion for performance and documentary theatre whose stage persona is drag king RV Métal. Under the moniker Pleurer dans' douche, the company she codirects with Mélodie Noël Rousseau - Labelle has created a string of acclaimed shows that have transformed the theatre scene, including MOSCA Techno Remix, Moi: Le Zoo and Stabat Pater.
In 2021, she directed Rock Bière: Le documentaire, a theatrical window onto the world of drag kings with the eponymous collaborator/performer. After a successful run at Espace Libre, Ciseaux toured Montréal, Rouyn, Québec City, Brussels and Caraquet (N.B.).
In March 2024, the actor-artist appeared in Explosion, presented at Salle Fred-Barry. Savvy in both business and art, multi-faceted Geneviève Labelle strives to make thought-provoking work about queer issues in engaging and challenging ways.
