Hugues Lefebvre Morasse
About
Designer, artist and interdisciplinary doctoral researcher in planning at Université de Montréal, Hugues Lefebvre Morasse is interested in the relationships between bodies, temporalities and spaces from a queer perspective. HIV-positive, he has been involved in the HIV community for 10 years, notably as a peer helper at Maison Plein Cœur, host of the Droits positifs podcast (COCQ-SIDA) and trainer at the Positive Leadership Development Institute.
Hugues' practice, at the crossroads of research-creation and social commitment, explores memory as material: what persists, what resists, what deserves to be passed on. Through field documentation, drawing and storytelling, he questions how queer desires - arranged, performed, imagined - enable us to think the world differently. His work seeks to reveal the continuities between past and future, and to rehabilitate narratives too often left untold.
