Soraï (she/they/them) is a queer artist and beatmaker shaking up Montreal’s hip-hop scene with her unapologetic vision, bold sound, and razor-sharp lyricism. Blending slick production, a striking visual identity, and lyrics that flirt between the erotic and the clever, she brings something fierce and fresh to the table.
Every beat, every bar, every layer? All crafted solo in her home studio — Soraï is fully hands-on from start to finish.
What followed was a drip-feed of singles leading up to her debut album, Synesthésies, dropped on March 1st, 2024 — and it hits hard. Synesthésies is more than an album — it’s a portal into the mind of a queer feminist artist carving space on her own terms in Quebec’s music scene.
Raw, lush, and deeply personal, it earned her a GAMIQ 2024 nomination for Hip-Hop Album of the Year. She dropped a Deluxe Edition in January 2025 and is already cooking up her next chapter — with a sophomore album slated for release this fall.
