Festival Regard

REGARD is one of the leading short film festivals in North America. Founded in 1995 in Saguenay, it is the gateway to the Americas for short films and an international launching pad for Canadian cinema.

The REGARD Festival is the cultural event that attracts the largest number of tourists annually in Saguenay. Recognized by the Oscars and FIPRESCI, it presents an average of 200 films from more than 50 countries. Its festive atmosphere and the quality of its programming have made it an unmissable event for Quebec movie buffs.

The magic of the REGARD Festival is above all the atmosphere that reigns there, the welcome given to international guests, festival-goers as well as the diversity of the cinematographic offerings. In addition to the screening sessions, a myriad of activities surround the event.

Fierté Montréal is proud to partner with Festival Regard to promote short cinema, especially the creativity of 2SLGBTQIA+ creators, highlighted through the Short & Queer Program, which will take place on Saturday 22nd at 9 pm.
