Fierté Montreal Festival is committed to democratizing access to its programming by giving a voice to a wider range of people who wish to express themselves.
The 2026 Call for Artists is now open!
The 20th edition of the Fierté Montreal Festival will take place from July 31 to August 9, 2026. To mark the occasion, Fierté Montreal is launching a Call for Artists to contribute to the free artistic programming at the Village hub.
This Call for Projects aims to multiply voices, democratize access to programming, and offer artists from 2SLGBTQIA+ communities a space to showcase their creativity.

Context
This call for projects aims to contribute to the free programming of the entire Village Hub from July 31 to August 9, 2026, including:
- The Mixbus outdoor stage, located on Sainte-Catherine Street East between Papineau and St-Hubert Streets
- The Jardins Gamelin stage
- Place du Village
- Street animation and artistic installations
Fierté Montreal's Contributions
As a presenter, the Festival commits to providing:
- An artist fee, according to its 2026 budgetary limits
- Technical and artistic support services, based on available Festival resources
- Promotion of selected activities and performances within the official programming
Who can submit a project?
- Artistic organizations
- Artist collectives
- Individual artists
Project selection
A selection committee will be responsible for choosing the selected projects in order to ensure fairness, competency, transparency, and credibility in the process. Projects will be evaluated using a scoring grid based on the following criteria:
- Originality
- Artistic quality
- Experience of the artists or collective
- Suitability of the proposal for an outdoor presentation context (where applicable)
- Feasibility of the proposal
- Alignment with Fierté Montreal Festival’s values: Equity, Integrity, Engagement, Sustainability, Celebration
Timeline
- Call for Artists launch: February 3, 2026
- Application deadline: March 8, 2026, at 11:59 p.m.
- Announcement of selected projects: Week of March 16, 2026
