Calamine

Calamine (she/her) is a queer, feminist rapper, beatmaker, and DJ based in Montreal. Her socially conscious lyrics address social justice, feminism, queer identity, and political and social issues such as sustainable mobility, housing, and degrowth. On stage, she is accompanied by her DJ and co-producer Kèthe Magané and saxophonist Valérie Lachance-Guillemette. With organic keys, funky synths, deep basslines, and buzzing leads, her distinctive musical style blends several genres: G-funk, neo-soul, jazz rap, boom bap, club, drill, and Afrobeat. RÉTROGRADE, her fourth full-length album, was released on March 13, 2026.
