Author, actress, screenwriter, and speaker, Gabrielle Boulianne-Tremblay (she/her) has published numerous texts in literary collectives and magazines, in addition to having worked as a columnist for the newspaper Le Devoir. She is the author of several books, including the novel La fille d'elle-même (winner of the 2022 Prix des libraires, nominated for the Dublin Literary Award). This novel quickly became a resounding success, playing an essential role in advancing the conversation around trans identity within the general public. Translated into English, Spanish, and Swedish this autumn, the sequel to this Quebec bestseller, La fille de la foudre, is now in bookstores.

Gabrielle Boulianne-Tremblay is the recipient of the 2025 Library and Archives Canada Award for her contribution to the creation and promotion of the country's cultural, literary, and historical heritage. She is also a human rights activist, particularly advocating for trans people as the co-spokesperson for Interligne, a support organization for 2SLGBTQIA+ communities. She is currently writing her third novel and a collection of poetry.
