Jandrou
About
Jandrou (he/him), a Montreal-based star of Salvadoran-Canadian synth-pop, blends retro-futuristic synthesizers with a resonant, emotive voice that transports audiences between nostalgia and liberation. Born and raised in El Salvador, he discovered music in the choir of a small church, where singing became both a refuge and the first spark of his artistic expression. As a queer artist, moving to Vancouver gave him the space he needed to embrace his identity and pursue his lifelong passion. In 2024, he released his debut album, Ashes to Ashes, a cathartic exploration of heartbreak and healing. Since then, Jandrou has shone on the main stage at Vancouver Pride as well as at other renowned festivals and venues, captivating audiences with his electrifying performances and powerful message of self-acceptance.
