Jennarie
About
A singer-songwriter born in Montreal and based in Toronto, Jennarie (she/her) carves out a unique path at the intersection of pop, R&B, and jazz. Proudly queer, fat, and neurodivergent, she highlights underrepresented communities and, through her music, explores self-love and body liberation.
She gained attention with “Never Been Small,” a song written in response to online fatphobia that went viral after being shared by SZA and Meghan Trainor. The track has amassed over 3 million streams and 60 million views.
Jennarie has performed at the Toronto Jazz Festival and Pride Toronto. In 2025, she placed second in the RBC Emerging Artists Program at Canada’s Walk of Fame. A new EP expected this summer will mark a key milestone for Jennarie: more pop-oriented, more powerful, and more vocal than ever.
