Born out of a passion for theater and transformation, Johnny Jones (he/him) and Velma (she/her) have been redefining the rules of drag since 2016. Inspired by icons like Lady Gaga and Sasha Velour, this duo embodies uncompromising authenticity.
A true pioneer, the artist is making television history: the first cisgender woman to compete on Canada’s Drag Race and, most notably, the first Drag King to join the global franchise. Velma embodies rebellious glamour and exaggerated femininity, while Johnny embodies the suave, cinematic charm of an irresistible party-crasher.
Together, they break traditional molds to tell unique stories, celebrating the often underrepresented community of Kings. Between glamour and rebellion, Velma and Johnny Jones are boldly writing the history (and “Herstory”) of drag.
