Lourdenie Jean

About

With a passion for the humanities, Lourdenie (she/her) is a graduate of Collège Lionel-Groulx and has gained hands-on experience working with community organizations. An intersectional feminist, speaker, and multidisciplinary artist, she specializes in social justice, sociology, and anti-oppression. She uses writing, visual arts, theater, and singing as tools for empowerment to address social issues. Today, she combines her activism and artistic practices across various mediums.

Among her notable achievements, she founded the platform L’Environnement, c’est intersectionnel in 2019. She also published the short story Car Tu es avec moi in 2022 and appeared on the show On est rendu là in 2023. More recently, in 2024, she authored the Afro-feminist essay L’amour, l’élément manquant de la justice climatique. Throughout her career, she has thus combined her love of the arts with her quest for justice.
