*Bal Queer* | Toustes Doux, Divergenres & GRIS-Québec

Prom is a significant moment in our lives, but often takes place in a very cisheteronormative framework.

For many trans, non-binary and queer people, proms have been a difficult time. Many were unable to bring a queer partner, or had not yet been able to assert their identity at school, and so experienced a prom dressed in clothes that didn't match their gender expression.

With the current social and political climate instrumentalizing trans and queer realities to divide the population, our communities face more hatred and discrimination. This context makes queer safer spaces even more necessary. At Divergenres, Toustes Doux and GRIS-Québec, we see trans and queer joy as an essential part of our social and political struggle.

For a third year, we're offering a non-mixed, alcohol-free celebration space for trans and queer people in Québec City. This year, we're allowing ourselves to dream of a magical night, to imagine a world of inclusive celebration where queer people can flourish and simply experience joy!

Toustes Doux is collaborating with Divergenres and GRIS-Québec to bring you an unforgettable *Bal Queer* experience!

This project is supported by Fierté Montréal; without their funding, this event could not take place. Many thanks!

All profits from the evening will go to support the mission of Toustes Doux, an up-and-coming organization by and for queer people in Québec City, which is currently self-financed and organizes several events in Québec City each year.

Hurry, places are limited! There will be no waiting list.

**This Queer Ball is open to all LGBTQIA2S+ people aged 18 and over. You may be accompanied by an ally if you wish, who must also have a ticket.
