Since the 1940s and 1950s, the LGBTQ+ community has fought for equal rights and its recognition in North America.
Despite the long road traveled, what are the issues the LGBTQ+ community faces in 2023?
Four panelists will tackle this question:
-Yann Zoldan, PhD, is a psychologist and professor of psychology in the Department of Health Sciences at the University of Quebec at Chicoutimi (UQAC);
-Alain Levesque governor of Fondation Émergence, honorary life member of Diversité 02 and president of Diversité 02 (AGL-LGBT) Sag-Lac from 2015 to 2019;
-Celeste Trianon is a transfeminine jurist and activist, located on unceded territories traditionally under the custody of the Kanien’kehá:ka Nation;
-Audrey Le Tellier master's student, research assistant, involved since 2021 in the UQAC+ committee and coordinator of the latter in 2022-2023, and queer activist.
Ian Segers, eco-advisor, lecturer and research professional at the University of Québec in Chicoutimi will moderate.
