Macarena Latinx Pride

The Macarena Latinx Fierté project creates a space for visibility and celebration of Latinx identities within queer diversity. Through a forum featuring recorded interviews, it amplifies the voices of older Latinx LGBTQ+ individuals in Montreal who survived the HIV/AIDS crisis of the 1980s and 90s, highlighting their resilience and the legacy they have built for current generations.

The event also includes a Queeroke activity with a drag show; a vibrant, participatory, and high-energy space where attendees can sing, celebrate, and express themselves freely in community.

To close, the following day will feature a large Latin party organized by Macarena Latinx, bringing together Montreal’s LGBTIQ+ community to celebrate our pride together.
