Photo/Voice Project: Sex Work | RÉZO

Julie Deslandes Leduc, social work student, has worked on a photo/voice project during the COVID-19 pandemic. This project led her to meet ten people who use the services of RÉZO’s sex work program, who shared a bit of their journey through eloquent testimonials, touching stories and photos that capture the intimacy of their daily lives. Considering the power of those ten photos, Julie wished to present them in a memorable exhibit which will take place as part of the panel on sex work, on August 5, 2023, among the Fierté Montréal celebrations.

For over 25 years now, RÉZO’s program offers an evening centre to its communities that is open during the week and distributes food and prevention as well as support supplies for street workers in the Village.

RÉZO is a Montréal-based non-profit community organization that has been active since 1991 in offering education and prevention services around HIV and other STIs in a holistic health framework, including sexual, mental, physical and social health for GBQ men, other men, and trans people who have sex with men.
