Vernissage and Performance: Unveiling the Queer Italian-Canadian Experience | Violet Hour
Join us for the official launch of Unveiling the Queer Italian-Canadian Experience. Through a combination of photography and literary prose, this exhibit will explore what it means to be queer and Italian-Canadian, by documenting queer Italian-Canadians living in Montreal in spaces that hold personal significance for them.
A collaboration between Toronto photographer Vincenzo Pietropaolo and Montreal author/poet Liana Cusmano, this event will feature live readings by Cusmano and piano by musician Mike Melino.
Unveiling the Queer Italian-Canadian Experience runs from July 27th to August 20th at the Casa d’Italia (505 Rue Jean-Talon East), every day from 1 PM to 6 PM.
A co-presentation between Fierté Montréal, ItalfestMTL and Violet Hour.
