Immerse yourself in a unique celebration where tropical warmth meets the energy of Montreal. Join us in the heart of the Village for a vibrant day of music, dance, and togetherness.
Starting at 3:30 PM, the Moh Dafok Carnival takes over the Loto-Québec Stage to celebrate the richness of Brazilian culture through its vibrant music and dance. Designed to spread joy to all audiences, this event left a lasting impression in 2025 during a memorable first edition at Place Émilie-Gamelin. Once again this year, the carnival is set to bring the authentic warmth of Brazil right into the heart of Montreal.
At 2:30 PM and 8 PM, George (he/him) & Thatz (she/her) of TropiQueer will celebrate the power of Brazilian rhythms from a decidedly queer perspective. Blending pop, baile funk, Afro-Brazilian sounds, and electronic music, this project transforms the Village into a space of collective freedom.
To cap off this festive day, the group Ikuma Syé will take over the Village on Sainte-Catherine Street. Their mission is to spread contagious energy, extending the party right out onto the street. With pulsating rhythms and dynamic performances, the group invites passersby and festivalgoers to take over the public space and bring the festival to a spectacular close!
