Set Queeré | FestiQueer Rimouski
Hello there! We'd like to invite you to join us for an evening of traditional square-set dancing, in an intergenerational and caring atmosphere for people who identify as 2SLGBTQIA+, their loved ones, and allies. The evening is open to all. We'll be collaborating with Flo Mailhot-Léonard, a queer practitioner of câll, the art of explaining traditional dances to music. We'll also be working with the Salicorne music group, who play traditional dance music and share our values of inclusion. Peer support volunteers will be on hand at the wake site, available for participants who need support. In the room where the vigil takes place, chairs and sitting areas will be set up for participants who wish to take a break, or even attend the entire vigil without dancing. There will be no cost associated with the activity, to promote accessibility. Book your ticket!
