Kinkead

About

You can recognize the Kinkead brothers by their undeniably groovy indie-pop songs and the fact that they look identical when they wear the same moustache. In 2018, the Québec City-born twins hit the radio with 1995, their indie-folk-rock-influenced debut EP. In 2020, they defined their pop musical identity with the album Migration, a critical and popular success that earned them an ADISQ nomination in the Pop Album category in 2021.

Four years later, Henri & Simon are back with a homonymous album produced by their accomplice Simon Kearney, where they shape the language of Molière in the image of the great bands of the 70s and 80s that they listened to as children. Unforgettable Bee Gees-style melodies, Beau Dommage-style vocal harmonies and Fleetwood Mac-style retro grooves are at the heart of this album, designed for festive shows, reminiscent of intoxicating karaoke evenings that stretch into the wee hours.
