Fierté Montréal Festival's 19th édition

Thanks to a growing interest in the Fierté Montréal Festival both locally and internationally, we invite the 2SLGBTQIA+ communities and their allies, from here and all over the world, to our 19th edition which will take place from July 31 to August 10, 2025! Imagined around three Hubs – Village, Urban, Olympic – our artistic and community programming is a huge celebration of queer culture, in all its diversity.

This year, we reaffirm our commitment to the Village which will be buzzing with a bold and daring program of talented creators. For the duration of the Festival, the Dovato Stage will host local queer artists featuring drag shows, live bands, burlesque troupes, DJ sets, Bollywood dance, pop music, a show for kids and even a high heel race! The Jardins Gamelin will also be decked out in rainbows on July 31, August 1, 2, and 6. From August 1 to 3, in collaboration with Festival M.A.D. and the SDC du Village, the first edition of the Rainbow Market will showcase 2SLGBTQIA+ entrepreneurs, artists, artisans, and designers. What’s more, Fierté Littéraire is back with a series of events showcasing queer creativity of the literary kind at Théâtre La Comédie de Montréal from July 31 to August 5; the comedy night Des gags et des paillettes, returns on August 5 and 6 at Le National, and L’After T-Dance will light up Sainte Catherine Hall on August 10. Tens of thousands are expected at the ever-popular Community Days on August 8 and 9 to meet more than 120 community groups and organizations, businesses, sports clubs, and sociocultural associations involved with 2SLGBTQIA+ communities.

Following a successful first year, the Fierté Montréal Festival will once again light up downtown at its Urban Hub. From July 31 to August 3, a series of free events on the Loto-Québec Stage at Esplanade Tranquille will showcase Indigenous artists during Lumière des Nations, trans artists at Transcendance, an evening dedicated to women of sexual and gender diversity with FeminiX, a lively tribute to nightlife as queer revolution with Mundo Disko, and the signature show ImmiX, featuring beloved artists Lisa LeBlanc, Gabrielle Destroismaisons, Martine St-Clair, Calamine, Safia Nolin, and Lennikim who will share the stage with emerging artists. The Festival returns to Place des Arts with Katherine Levac's L'été de ma Fierté! CinéQueer, a co-presentation with the National Film Board of Canada (NFB), will offer three days of free screenings at the Alanis Obomsawin Theatre, in collaboration with the Festival du Nouveau Cinéma and the Festival image+nation. Two free community exhibitions will be presented at NFB Space from July 31 to August 6. As a prelude to the Festival, the movie La Pampa will be screened at Cineplex Odeon Quartier Latin on July 30, in collaboration with the francophone film festival CINEMANIA, preceded by a round table discussion on rural queer experiences in Europe and Québec at Cinémathèque québécoise. The MEM – Centre des mémoires montréalaises will host a series of conferences and panels about issues related to inclusion within and for our communities on August 2 and 3. Finally, nightlife enthusiasts will notice a slew of official after-parties with seven club nights hosted at Club Soda and Société des arts technologiques (SAT).

True to tradition, from August 7 to 10, the big shows on the TD Stage at the Olympic Park’s Esplanade will close the artistic part of the Festival. It all kicks off with the world's largest free drag show, La Soirée 100% Drag, with hostesses Barbada and Rita Baga. On August 8, DistinXion will highlight Fefe Dobson, Charlotte Day Wilson, and G Flip. Xcellence will bring Iniko, Bilal Hassani, and Ivy Queen to the stage on August 9. On August 10, the biggest dance floor in town will host the highly anticipated Mega T-Dance, featuring renowned DJs such as Black Flamingo and Marti Frieson.

The perennial Pride Parade will welcome tens of thousands of participants down Boulevard René-Lévesque on August 10. With “Blossom Here, Now!” as this year's rallying cry, the Pride Parade is an invitation to claim our right to blossom fully, to shine brightly, and to love freely.

Amid a steep and rapid decline for 2SLGBTQIA+ rights around the world, Montréal itself is a beacon, proudly flying the rainbow flag. We very much look forward to welcoming you at the Fierté Montréal Festival from July 31 to August 2025!
