About
The Latino Burlesque Canada troupe was founded in 2014 by artists from Montreal's LGBTQ+ community. Since then, we've been the only Latinx troupe in North America and proud to be Hispanic Canadians. At Latino burlesque, we believe in community, not competition. We advocate equality regardless of sexual orientation, ethnic origin, body shape or age. We aim to open up new spaces of representation and break down stereotypes about the roles of men and women in our society. By advocating the inclusion of Latinx and BIPOC artists on local stages, we are contributing to the development of a more equitable society.
