Festival Fierté Montréal's 18th edition

For the 18th edition of the Fierté Montréal Festival, we bring to you the bold and brave pride that we need! From August 1 to 11, our Festival will be organized around three hubs - Urban, Olympic, Village - allowing us to show our pride in the diversity that unites us. Our stages will present a whopping 240 artists, representative of the 2SLGBTQIA+ communities and of the diverse communities that make the Montréal we love. A Festival that is more needed than ever to celebrate the creativity and resilience of 2SLGBTQIA+ communities who are facing a resurgence of hatred and oppression.

For the first time, we bring some of our free artistic events downtown in a new Urban Hub! Quartier des spectacles, the core of Montréal's cultural life, will host our artists at the Loto-Québec Stage on the Esplanade Tranquille for a bevy of free outdoor shows. Furthermore, an alluring line-up of events will be presented at Place des Arts, Club Soda, SAT's Satosphère, and at the NFB's Alanis-Obomsawin Theatre. On August 11, on René-Lévesque Boulevard, the Pride Parade brings to a close our downtown activities under the theme "We Are the Rainbow!"

The Village, beating heart of local 2SLGBTQIA+ communities, remains a must-see destination for festivalgoers this summer. In collaboration with Partenariat du Quartier des spectacles, the Jardins Gamelin will fly its Pride colours with several events. What's more, in partnership with SDC Village Montréal, Street Art will fill Ste-Catherine Street in open-air programming for the duration of the Festival. Back by popular demand, a hilarious comedy soirée returns to Le National. Last but not least, the popular and ever-expanding Community Days will be held on August 9 and 10.

On the final weekend, the Olympic Park's Esplanade becomes the Festival’s main venue and home to the TD Stage, where our hallmark free outdoor shows have been attracting tens of thousands of festivalgoers for the past three years. Beloved artists such as Marjo, Mitsou, Elisapie, Sarahmée, and Pierre Kwenders launch the festivities on August 8, followed by Rita Baga, Barbada, and an extravaganza of local and international drag artists on August 9. The Esplanade turns into the city’s largest open-air dancefloor on August 10 with Mundo Disko, featuring international superstars Crystal Waters and France Joli, and on August 11 for the highly anticipated Mega T-Dance, featuring local and international DJs.

We invite Montréalers, Québecers, Canadians, and tourists from all over the world to join us for an exceptional edition of the Fierté Montréal Festival.

Everyone at the Fierté Montréal Festival is looking forward to seeing you from August 1 to 11, 2024!
