The Youth Safer Space by and for young people of sexual and gender diversity aged 14 to 25 aims to be an environment based on respect, openness, and compassion.
Having long been a space mainly occupied by adults, Fierté Montréal Festival's creation of a space by and for 2SLGBTQIA+ youth directly on the Festival site looks to offer a place where youth folks can socialize among peers, sharing common experiences and benefit, if needed, of intervention resources from sexual and gender diversity youth peer support workers.
Are you looking to meet other young people like you? Do you have questions about your gender identity, your sexual orientation, or your sexuality? Would you like to speak to a support worker who is sensitive to your reality? Are you not "out" to your parents and prefer to avoid being around other adults? Whatever the reason: the Youth Safer Space is for you!
Happy Pride!
